Tips for a Better Poker Game

The game of poker is a game of strategy and blind luck and this article will give you some tips that might just help your game.  What many people do not understand is that it is ok to fold and that means that just because you began a game doesn’t mean you must keep playing.   You will not win more by playing more hands.

If you are drunk, don’t play.  This might sound like an obvious statement but if you think your judgement is not what it should be, do not take a seat at the table.   Once you have your hand and you know the hand is not a winner, get out right away.  Even if you have a lot of money into it already, you will just lose more.  Bluffing is learned skill and does not always work and never play any card game when you are angry or frustrated.  

Poker is a serious game and you need to be focused so if you are upset from something, don’t play.    A big factor to remember is to only play within the limits of your skill and money. If you think you can play to impress others, forget it, it will backfire on you.  Don’t play if you can’t afford to loose.
